Summary:

Review:
I am not saying that my gothic dreams were answered in the form of a story but…. here we have it. The atmosphere, descriptions, slow-burn romance, etc. were absolutely the perfect gothic mystery storm. This book deals with all things macabre, however, is written so beautifully that even those who do not like the darker side of stories will fall in love. Poison, murder, mysterious spirits in the shadows are just a few of the haunting scenarios we encounter. Death as a character, is super intriguing. I was kept guessing throughout the entire book at what his intentions were. Sylas was a fun addition. A sweet yet strange love interest that kept me on my toes. I normally dislike a love triangle, but this one is done so well that I did not mind. This was everything I wanted in a gothic styled mystery romance and more.
