Synopsis:

Review:
Elise has done it again. I was immediately sucked back into this magical world and did not want to leave. The Married to Magic series has made me never look at the woods behind my house the same way. It has made me searching for magic everywhere I look. This world she has created is mesmerizing and absolutely enchanting. I want to return to this land many more times.
Katria is such a loveable and endearing main character that you can not help but root for her through all the hardship she endures. It is the perfect Cinderella type scenario that has you despising her stepmother and step sister. Who needs a more evil villain. But alas, in this story, there is just that.
Davien, at first, I was completely drawn in by his character. However, after an unfortunate event near the woods his treatment of Katria had me sending out the side-eye. Their relationship development is so well done. I love how Katria’s insecurities are addressed in the story and how she has to move past these issues to actually open her heart.
In this story we meet some amazing characters that you immediately have love for. Raph, Giles, even Shaye are a few of the ones that grabbed onto my heartstrings and held on tight. Raph is probably my favorite. His heart is so big and how he strives to help Katria and save his loved ones is most endearing.
They are faced with seemingly impossible tasks to overcome, and there were times I was on the edge of my seat wondering how in the world they were going to get past the obstacles placed in front of them. I ended up reading into the early morning to finish because I absolutely could not walk away from this book. If you were on the fence about this book or this series take the plunge, jump over the fence, whatever you want to call it and do it! You do not necessarily have to read them in order of release because they are essentially stand alones, but I highly suggest if you have not read A Deal With the Elf King to read that one as well. This series has climbed its way up into my top favorites, and you will not be disappointed.
